The semiconductor industry is continuously evolving, with advancements in technology and innovations in design. As a Place and Route/STA Engineer, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of this industry by developing complex digital IP subsystems, semi-custom macros, and bleeding-edge process technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop netlist to GDS2 automation flows for complex digital/mixed signal blocks using PNR tools like ICC2 or Innovus in advanced technology nodes.
- Define floor plans/placement/routing/timing constraints in ICC for complex blocks including BIST to achieve correct-by-construction DRC/LVS and timing closure.
- Interact with cross-functional teams (synthesis/STA/DNE) to close timing violations/DRC/LVS loops.
- Implement constraint automation to achieve predictable timing closure with minimal ECOs.
- Perform place and route architectural feasibilities with multiple power islands for optimal utilization, EM, and IR.
- Develop fully automated PNR and STA development flows to meet broader frequency requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with synthesis, ICC2, Fusion compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime tools.
- Hands-on experience in defining ICC2/synthesis constraints for timing closure needs.
- In-depth knowledge of signal and power floor plans with minimal EM/IR violations.
- Expertise in all ICC2/STA options for handling de-ratings and reducing crosstalk.
- Familiarity with ECO implementation and tooling like Tweaker.
- Hands-on expertise in TCL/PERL for automating end-to-end PNR/STA flows.
- Experience in handling complex netlists with multiple frequency domains and ICC timing closure.
- Ability to analyze and correlate STA vs. ICC timing reports.
- Exposure to Synopsys timing closure tools; Star-RC, PrimeTime, PTSI. Cadence timing closure flow expertise is a plus.
- Strong automation and scripting skills in Perl/Python for analyzing timing/noise reports and driving swift timing closure.

Role Summary
As a Engineer, Engineering and Design, you will be responsible for leading the design process for solar power projects, from conceptualization to implementation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, professional engineers, LEWs, electrical engineers, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of solar energy projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in optimizing solar system designs and ensuring compliance with engineering standards
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering review process for EPCs’ master document list submission, including system sizing, layout optimization, solar structural design and balance of system engineering.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external EPCs to integrate solar PV systems with existing infrastructure and building designs, including system components to suit site condition and in accordance to solar engineering standards (IEC, Singapore Standards etc).
- Handle structural design submissions to HDB for SolarNova projects and make sure they meet all rules and requirements. Work with HDB and EPC Professional Engineers to answer questions or update designs to get approvals.
- Design and develop electrical single-line diagram, panel schedules and connection diagram for solar electric systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Complete all electrical calculations in detail related to the project (DC and AC).
- Prepare and review PVSyst report and PR calculations.
- Assist in getting endorsements from Professional Engineers and LEWs for the related engineering calculation, analysis documents and drawings.
- Provide technical direction or support to Project Manager and Engineer during design review, installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in solar energy and construction industries, and integrate them into project designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, civil/structural engineering or related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in the design and engineering of solar power systems, preferably in the construction industry.
- Prefers candidate with direct experience in preparing and managing design submissions to HDB for SolarNova projects, including responding to feedback and securing necessary approvals.
- In-depth knowledge of solar PV technologies, components, and system configurations.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in Singapore.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
